Help Outside the Tribe

If you’re a pastor, you carry more than most people ever see. Week after week, you lead, teach, encourage, comfort, guide, and make decisions that affect the spiritual health of a congregation. It’s a sacred calling — but also an isolating one.

For many pastors, especially in rural settings or leading small congregations, the circle of relationships is small and familiar. Most of the people you talk with are part of your congregation, your denomination, or your trusted network of peers. While these connections are important, they can unintentionally limit the perspective and freedom you have when you process your own struggles, doubts, and dreams.

That’s why having someone outside your tribe matters.

A Safe Place Without Politics

When you meet with me at Coaching the Red Line, you’re meeting with someone who is not part of your denominational system, church network, or local ministerial alliance. That means you gain something rare — a space without hidden agendas, politics, or the subtle pressures to conform to a group’s unspoken rules.

Nothing you share gets filtered through the lens of “how will this affect my standing?” or “will this get back to someone in my congregation?” Everything stays between us — no exceptions. That confidentiality gives you room to breathe and be honest in a way that’s often impossible within your tribe.

Fresh Eyes and Honest Questions

Because I’m not connected to your internal church politics or denominational debates, I can ask questions you may not hear from those in your circle — not to challenge for challenge’s sake, but to help you see where God might be inviting you into deeper trust, rest, or courage.

And because I’m not tied to the rhythms or assumptions of your particular group, I can help you notice blind spots or patterns that have been hiding in plain sight.

Whether you’re a pastor here in Spokane and want to meet in person, or you serve a small church in a rural area anywhere in the country, I’d love to meet with you over Zoom or phone.
