Alec Gonzales

I coach salespeople. And I love it.

You sell for a living, but the word “salesman” never quite fit. Maybe you picture someone pushy, and that isn’t you. I get it, and I don’t think selling well should mean becoming someone else. We meet one-on-one, every two or three weeks, over 3, 6 or 12 months. Over those months you grow more certain and less afraid of goals and accountability. You also get better at asking good questions and listening. Once you own the title, you stop leaving your potential on the table.

My story

Like a lot of coaches, I used to struggle to bring on clients. What I had going for me was belief. I believe in coaching, and I believe I can help people change their lives. I’d also had practice talking with strangers, from telemarketing and sales earlier in my life and from my time as a pastor, sharing my faith.

This past year I set out to get great at selling. I read, I watch, I study every chance I get. It changed how I see sales. I help people for money. I help them improve their lives, do better at their work, and build better relationships with God and people. That’s a net positive, and it’s a journey toward excellence in selling.

I coach salespeople. And I love it.
